Coffee is Keto Friendly
We are just starting out the year 2022, and like most new year trends, you're likely to see lots of people making healthy diet resolutions. No doubt changing your eating habits or starting a new diet is challenging, but the beginning of the year always gives you that extra push.
The Keto diet is one of the most popular diets out there. It consists of a low-carb, high-fat diet without sugar, grains, or carbohydrates. This diet involves drastically cutting carbs intake while replacing it with fat. Generally speaking, it means consuming only 20 to 50 grams of carbs per day, while consuming fats such as meat, fish, eggs, nuts, and healthy oils. When you reduce carbs, your body enters a metabolic state called ketosis, where it uses fat for fuel/energy instead of carbs (burning fat for energy). This aids in weight loss and keep your healthy.
Many coffee lovers can't imagine how they'd begin the day without their favourite beverage and those looking at following a keto diet might wonder if they have to give up coffee.
You will be happy to know that, black or plain coffee can be consumed by those on the Keto diet since it contains negligible about of calories and carbohydrates. Ketogenic diets can include espresso or a lungo of Coffeeza blends like Intenso, Classico, Cremoso, Forte, Decaf, and Single Origin Ethiopia. However, you will have to refrain from adding creamers and artificial sweeteners to your cuppa. You can add stevia to your black coffee or use specific sweeteners that work well with your keto diet, spices like cinnamon work too. Although you can include coffee in this diet, remember to consume it moderately (as with every other food and beverage). One or two cups per day is fine.
